JOSEPH GALLAGHER
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES
Joe has over 30 years of experience in the concrete and construction industry. Joe started his career with, Rosenfeld Concrete, a Boston Sand & Gravel subsidiary, in 1988. Joe started as a dispatcher and, throughout his career in the concrete and aggregate industry, became SVP at BSG. He previously shared his talents and knowledge at National Development/Cranshaw Construction, Suffolk Construction, The Gallagher Company, LLC, and Gilbane Building Company. Joe’s unique background has given him experience as an owner, a construction manager, a subcontractor, and a supplier of various pre-construction and construction meetings. Joe’s experience has been invaluable in understanding Boston Sand & Gravel’s role in various construction projects.
Joe is extremely active within various industry trade groups. He currently serves on the board of the Massachusetts Concrete and Aggregate Producers Association as well as being involved throughout the years with NAIOP, CIM, AGC, NRMCA, PCA, and a past president at The Massachusetts Building Congress. Joe is an avid Boston sports fan and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
OLAVO “OLLY” DEMACEDO
SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Olly has been with Boston Sand & Gravel Companies since 1990. He began in sales at Southeastern Concrete and is currently the Operations Manager for Rosenfeld Concrete, Southeastern Concrete, and Lawrence Ready Mix Concrete. Olly’s commitment energy and commitment extends to many of the communities we serve. He was a Kingston, MA, Selectman for 12 years, on the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce board for five years, and has been the Executive Director of America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration since 1996. Olly has a degree in Criminal Justice from Stonehill College.
ALAN PASTYRNAK
SALES MANAGER
Alan has been with Boston Sand & Gravel Companies since 2013, starting as a Sales Representative at Rosenfeld Concrete before moving to Boston Sand & Gravel to cover the Boston territory in 2014. In 2021, he was promoted to Sales Manager. Alan is ACI Level 1 certified, and led the charge to get the Charlestown plant Environmental Product Declaration certified by the National Ready Mix Concrete Association. Alan played baseball on a collegiate level at both Northeastern University and Merrimack College, where he graduated from in 2013 with a degree in Communications. Alan is a huge sports fan, especially of the Clemson Tigers. He enjoys spending time at home with his wife and puppies, Winston & Josie.
